Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and sometimes the microSD card. It slides into a side slot on the phone, allowing you to change cards without opening the device. When it is broken, bent or jammed, it can stop the tray from ejecting, hold the card in place or cut the connection to the network. This replacement tray is compatible with the Redmi Note 13 and suits a simple repair that a private individual can carry out.
Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the case. Use the ejection tool or an unfolded paperclip, and handle it gently so you do not force the slot. Check that the new tray matches your model before fitting it, then insert it straight, without excessive pressure. Avoid strong heat and protect yourself from static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
Once the tray is fitted, turn the phone back on and check that the SIM card is detected and the network works. Also test the tray ejection several times to check that it moves smoothly. If in doubt, do not force it, and start the fitting again from the beginning.
