Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the side of the phone and must sit firmly in place for the network to work properly. This part, compatible with the Redmi Note 14, lets you replace a tray that is broken, bent or no longer closes properly, without changing the whole frame.
The most common faults are a tray that no longer ejects, one that rattles in its slot, or one whose plate is cracked. Before you start, switch off the phone, use the ejection tool or a paper clip, and take the time to note the fitting direction of the old tray. Work on a clean surface and avoid static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
After replacement, check that the tray goes in and out without forcing, that it does not stick out from the frame and that the SIM card is recognised. If the card is not detected, reinsert it properly before concluding there is a fault. Never force the tray closed.
