Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. It slides into a side slot of the smartphone and lets you insert or remove the cards without opening the device. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card no longer sits in place, the phone no longer detects the network, or the tray jams every time you try to open it.
This part, compatible with the Redmi Note 7, replaces the damaged tray. It is a third-party manufacture, offered as an economical solution to repair the device yourself. Before you start, switch off the phone and remove the broken tray using the ejection tool. Check that the slot is clean and free of dust.
After fitting, insert a SIM card into the new tray and check that it clicks into place without forcing it. Check network detection and, if needed, the microSD card. Handle the components carefully to avoid electrostatic discharge.
