Description
This SIM tray is a compatible part designed for the Redmi Note 8 Pro. It holds the SIM card and, where applicable, the microSD card, and fits back into the device chassis. It is used to replace a tray that is broken, bent, or whose ejection mechanism no longer works properly.
Once the current part is removed, compare the new tray with the old one: the shape, the notches and the position of the contacts must match. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable ejection tool, and avoid excessive force so as not to damage the chassis. Switch off the device before you start and disconnect the battery if your model allows it.
After fitting, insert the tray without forcing it and check that it slides straight, locks correctly and that the SIM card is recognised. If the tray remains hard to insert, do not force it: readjust it. Handle the device carefully to avoid static electricity when touching the connectors.
