Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the microSD card. It slots into the side of the phone and lets you change cards without opening the device. When it is broken, bent or worn, the card no longer stays in place, the phone does not detect it, or the tray refuses to slide in properly.
This compatible part is made by a third party and is designed for the Redmi Note 8T. It replaces the current tray, whose shape and slots must match those of the model. Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card and the microSD card. Check that the new tray is clean and free of burrs, and compare it with the old one to spot any differences in shape.
After replacement, insert the SIM card without forcing it and check that the tray slides fully home, with no play or resistance. Then start the phone and check that the network is detected. Handle the part with care, avoid static electricity and never force the tray.
