Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the microSD card. It slides into the side of the phone and must sit firmly in place so the network is recognised. This compatible part fits the Galaxy Note 10 Plus. It replaces a tray that is broken, bent, cracked or no longer clicks into place properly.
If the SIM card is no longer detected, the tray gets stuck or the tray no longer slides out of its slot, replacing this part is often the solution. Before you start, switch the phone off, remove the case and take time to note the orientation of the tray. Use a suitable ejection tool and a clean surface, and avoid excessive force so you do not damage the chassis.
After fitting, check that the tray slides out and back in without friction, that the SIM card is recognised and that no visible gap remains at the side of the phone. If the current part shows signs of liquid, have it checked before powering the phone back on.
Tips
- Switch the phone off and unplug the charger before any handling
- Note the orientation of the tray before removing it
- Use a suitable ejection tool to avoid scratching the chassis
- Check that the SIM card is recognised after fitting
- Do not force the tray if it resists, as this can break the housing
