Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. For the Galaxy S21 FE (reference SM-G990B), this tray needs replacing when it is broken, bent, jammed or no longer opens properly. It also keeps the card firmly in place, so that the phone detects it without losing network connection.
This part is a compatible version, made by a third party. It does not come from the manufacturer's factories. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, then insert the ejector tool into the small hole in the tray. Press gently and without forcing, as the tray and the chassis can be marked. Keep the screen and cables away from static electricity, working on a clean, flat surface.
Once the tray is replaced, check that it slides without play or friction, then put the SIM card back and check network detection. If the tray is misaligned, pull it out and reinsert it rather than pressing hard. Avoid excessive heat while handling.
