Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the microSD card. It slides into a side slot of the phone and must stay well aligned so that the electrical contacts work properly. This compatible tray replaces the current part when it is broken, bent, jammed or no longer recognises the card.
This part restores normal use of the SIM card: insertion, removal and network detection. It fixes the most common faults, such as a tray that no longer slides out, a card that does not click into place, or a 'no SIM card' message even though it is correctly seated. It is a compatible part made by a third party, whose fit may differ slightly from the current part.
Before starting, switch off the phone and remove the tray using a suitable ejection tool, without forcing it. Keep the device at a moderate temperature and avoid static electricity by working on a clean surface. After fitting, check that the tray inserts and removes without resistance, then test SIM card and network detection before closing the housing.
