Description
The SIM tray is the small metal part that holds the SIM card and allows it to be inserted into the phone without opening the casing. This replacement tray is compatible with the iPhone 11, references A2221, A2111 and A2223. It is used to replace a tray that is damaged, bent, broken or no longer closes properly.
A faulty tray often shows up as a SIM card that is not detected, a tray that sticks, wobbles or does not click into place, or a card that shifts inside. Before you start, switch off the device, remove the SIM card and keep it somewhere safe. Use a suitable ejector pin and press gently, without forcing it, so as not to damage the logic board or the waterproofing seal.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in and closes without resistance, then reinsert the SIM card and check network reception. Avoid excessive heat while handling and work on a clean surface, away from static electricity. If the tray is misaligned, do not force it; readjust it before putting the device back into service.
