Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and slides it into the side slot of the iPhone 12 mini. This compatible part fits references A2399, A2176, A2398 and A2400 of this model. It is used to replace a bent, broken, stuck or lost tray, which makes inserting the SIM card difficult or prevents the network from being recognised.
Before you start, switch off the device and insert the ejection tool into the small hole in the tray to pull it out. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components. If you need to work further inside the device, disconnect the battery before handling any ribbon cables and never puncture or bend the lithium battery.
After fitting, check that the tray clicks into place without forcing, that the SIM card is correctly seated and that the network is detected. If the device overheats abnormally or a battery appears swollen, stop immediately and do not use it any more.
