Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and guides it into the phone. On an iPhone XS Max, it lets you insert and remove the card without opening the device. This compatible tray replaces your phone's tray when it is broken, bent, jammed or no longer closes properly. It fixes the most common faults: SIM card no longer locks in place, tray comes out crooked, or a damaged slot prevents the card from being detected.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and prepare a pin or SIM ejector tool. Work on a flat, clean surface, and avoid excessive heat or contact with metal parts that could generate static electricity. Carefully remove the damaged tray, then compare its dimensions with the current part before fitting the new one.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in and locks without forcing it, then restart the phone and confirm the SIM card is recognised. If the card does not appear, remove it and reinsert it properly before concluding.
