Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and microSD card and slides into the side of the phone. On a Pixel 6, it can crack, bend or stop opening properly after a drop or rough handling. This compatible tray replaces the current part so you get clean, stable access to your cards again.
Before you start, switch off the phone and use a pin to open the slot. Work on a flat, clean surface at room temperature, and keep the small screws and seals within reach. Avoid applying excessive force to the frame, and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface before handling the components.
Once the new tray is fitted, check that it opens and closes smoothly and that the SIM card is detected. If the tray rubs or does not sit in place, refit it and check the alignment. Do not force it, as this could damage the frame.
