Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, on some models, the memory card. It slides into a slot on the side of the phone. When it is damaged, bent or broken, the card may sit incorrectly, no longer be recognised, or the tray may become difficult to eject. This compatible Pixel 7 Pro SIM tray replaces the current part when it is damaged.
Before you begin, switch the phone off completely and prepare a SIM ejector tool and a clean surface for the small parts. Work on a flat surface, protected from static electricity, and avoid forcing the slot. It is advisable to back up your data before any intervention. For removal and reassembly, follow the steps carefully and never bend the components.
Once the tray is installed, check that it slides in without resistance and stays properly aligned with the chassis. Insert your SIM card, restart the phone and check that the network is detected. If the tray is compatible, it should eject and close again smoothly.
Tips
- Switch the phone off before removing or inserting the tray.
- Never force the slot: misalignment can damage the motherboard.
- Check the alignment of the tray before refitting it.
- Test SIM card detection after restarting the phone.
