Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the memory card. It slides into the side slot of the phone and makes contact between the card and the device's electronics. This compatible tray replaces the existing part when it is broken, bent, jammed or no longer ejects properly.
It helps fix the most common faults with this type of slot: tray that no longer ejects, gets stuck, stays partly pushed in, or a SIM card that is no longer detected because of a deformed tray. Replacement is a simple operation, but it requires patience and a little precision.
Before you start, switch off the phone completely and remove the case. Use a pin or a suitable ejection tool to take out the old tray without forcing it. Avoid static discharge by touching a metal surface before handling the components. After fitting, check that the tray inserts and locks properly, then test SIM card detection before closing the device.
