Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. It slides into the edge of the phone and lets you insert or remove these cards without opening the device. This part, compatible with the U12 Plus (6.0-inch screen), is used to replace the current tray when it is broken, bent, stuck or no longer holds the card properly.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card with the ejection tool. Check the new part: it should fit the slot properly and slide in without force. Work on a flat, clean surface at room temperature, and avoid putting any pressure on the other components. To reduce the risk from static electricity, touch a metal surface before handling the part.
Once the tray is back in place, check that it is fully closed and that the SIM card is recognised after restarting. If no network appears, remove the tray again to make sure the card is correctly positioned.
Tips
- Switch off the phone before removing or refitting the SIM tray.
- Use the ejection tool to avoid scratching or bending the part.
- Do not force it if the tray does not fit: check its alignment.
- After fitting, check that the SIM card is recognised when the phone restarts.
