Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, sometimes, the microSD card. On the LG V40 ThinQ, it is pulled out from the edge of the phone and put back in place without any special tool. This compatible tray replaces the current part when it is broken, bent or no longer holds the card properly. A worn part can cause loss of signal, a card that is no longer detected or a tray that will no longer come out.
Before you start, switch the phone off and use the ejection tool supplied with the device or a fine needle. Take the time to look at the old tray and note the direction it is inserted to make reassembly easier. Work on a clean surface and avoid touching the electronic contacts unnecessarily, as static electricity can damage them.
After fitting, check that the tray slides in without forcing and sits firmly in place. Insert your SIM card, switch the device back on and check network detection and card reading. If the tray catches or looks misaligned, remove it and try again gently rather than forcing it.

- Note the insertion direction of the current part
- Never force the tray in, it should slide in easily
- Check that the SIM card is detected after fitting
- Avoid any contact with the electronic contacts
