Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card, then slides into the phone's chassis. This compatible Xiaomi 13 part is used to replace a tray that is broken, bent or no longer ejects properly, which can sometimes prevent the SIM card from being detected or make the tray rattle in its slot.
Before you begin, switch the smartphone off completely and disconnect the phone from any power source. Use the SIM ejector tool to remove the old tray, pressing gently and without forcing it. Keep the current part to hand so you can compare the dimensions and the position of the notches before fitting. Avoid excessive heat and electrostatic discharge by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
After fitting, check that the tray closes without play and that the SIM card is properly recognised. If your device has a swollen battery, do not use it and do not attempt to open the battery, as lithium can be dangerous.
