Description
The SIM tray is the small metal or plastic part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the microSD card. It slides into a slot on the outside of the phone and lets you change cards without opening the device. This part, compatible with the Xiaomi 14, replaces a tray that is broken, bent or no longer locks properly.
The most common faults are a tray that no longer ejects, comes out crooked, does not recognise the SIM card or lets in dust and moisture. In these cases, replacing the tray is often enough to restore normal use, without touching the motherboard.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and remove the SIM card. Use a needle or a suitable ejection tool, without forcing it. After replacement, check that the tray clicks in straight, that the card is recognised and that the seal is intact. Avoid excessive heat when handling.
