Description
The SIM tray is the small part that holds the SIM card and, depending on the model, the memory card. When it jams, warps or no longer closes properly, the card may no longer be recognised or the phone may lose its network. This compatible tray for Sony Xperia XA lets you replace the current part when it is damaged.
Before you start, switch the smartphone off completely and unplug the charger. Use a pin or an ejection tool to remove the tray, and work on a flat, clean surface so you don't lose the small parts. Avoid forcing it: a tray that resists should be checked before you pull it further. Also protect the device from static electricity by avoiding synthetic rugs.
Once the new tray is in place, check that it fits without play and closes properly. Then reinsert the SIM card, switch the phone back on and check that the network is detected. If the device does not start or the tray seems misaligned, stop and review the assembly before pressing on.
