Description
The vibration motor is the small motor that makes your smartphone vibrate during a call, a notification or tactile feedback. On the Galaxy Note 10, it lets you feel alerts without having to look at the screen. This compatible vibration motor is intended to replace the current part when it no longer works or vibrates only very weakly.
The most common faults are a complete absence of vibration, weak or irregular vibrations, or an abnormal noise during alerts. Before you start, switch the phone off completely, prepare a small screwdriver of the right size and a tray to keep the screws in. Work on a clean, flat surface and avoid static electricity by regularly touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, check that the connector is properly seated and that the ribbon cable is not trapped. Switch the device back on and test the vibration with a call, an alarm or a notification. If the phone feels hot or a battery looks swollen, stop the repair immediately and stop using the device.
