Description
The vibration motor, also called haptic engine, is the small component that produces the vibrations of your iPhone 12 during calls, notifications and certain touch interactions. This compatible part is intended for the reference models A2403, A2172, A2402 and A2404. It replaces the faulty vibration motor when your phone no longer vibrates, vibrates weakly or makes an abnormal noise.
Before you begin, switch off the device completely and disconnect the battery before handling the flex cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface in a dry place, and protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding touching the components carelessly. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery, and stop using the device if the battery appears swollen. Keep moderate heat during the repair and use suitable tools to avoid scratching the chassis.
After assembly, switch the device back on and test the vibration in several situations: incoming call, notification, touch keyboard. If possible, complete a few full charge cycles before normal use, to check the stability of the assembly. If you are unsure of the result, check the flex cable connections again before reaching a conclusion.
