Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during a call, a notification or a haptic touch response. This compatible part is designed for the iPhone 12 Pro, references A2407, A2341, A2406 and A2408. When it no longer works, the device stays silent in vibrate mode, or stops responding to touch during certain actions. Replacing this component restores these physical responses without touching the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the flex cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, clear surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and keep the small screws in an organised tray. Never puncture, bend or crush the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using it and do not heat it.
After fitting, check the vibrator works with several tests: call, alarm, notifications. Keep heat moderate during reassembly and make sure the connectors are properly clicked into place. If a battery was replaced at the same time, allow a few full charge cycles before judging the result.
