The vibrator, also called the Taptic Engine, is the small motor that produces the iPhone's haptic feedback: vibrations for notifications, the keyboard and certain on-screen interactions. This compatible iPhone 13 Pro Max part, model references A2643, A2484, A2641, A2644 and A2645, is used to replace a faulty vibrator. It is made by a third party and is the most economical option for a repair.
The faults it can fix are typically no vibration, weak or irregular vibration, or abnormal noises during haptic feedback. Before you start, switch the device off completely, work on a clean surface and use an antistatic mat if possible. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and avoid excessive heat. If the battery is swollen, do not use it, and do not puncture or bend it.
After fitting, check that the vibrations work in the various settings, then make sure the ribbon cable is properly connected and that the screen responds normally. If your device has been opened, charge it through several full cycles to ensure stable operation before normal use.
