Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during a call, a notification or haptic feedback. This compatible part is designed for the iPhone 14 Pro, references A2890 and A2650. It is used to replace the current vibrator when it no longer vibrates, vibrates weakly or makes an abnormal noise.
Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching the flex cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with suitable tools and an antistatic mat if possible. Never puncture or bend the lithium battery; if it is swollen, stop using the device and do not heat it.
After fitting, check the vibrator's operation in the sound settings, then test a few notifications. If you notice unexpected behaviour, reconnect the battery and check the connectors. Once the phone is reassembled, carry out a few full charge cycles to make sure the whole unit is stable.
Tips
- Switch off the device and disconnect the battery before any work
- Use antistatic tools and work on a clean surface
- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
- Swollen battery: stop using the device
- Test the vibrator after fitting with several notifications
