Description
The vibration motor, also called the haptic engine, is the small component that produces your iPhone's vibrations when you receive a call, a notification or when you use the keyboard. This part, compatible with the iPhone 16 Pro Max, is used to replace a faulty vibration motor, for example if it no longer vibrates or if its vibrations are weak, irregular or accompanied by an unusual noise.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the flex cables. Work on a clean surface and use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Take the time to identify the connectors carefully before disconnecting them and photograph each step of the disassembly.
Once reassembly is complete, switch the device back on and test the vibration motor with several notifications, a ringtone and keyboard input. If the current battery shows swelling, do not use the device and do not puncture or bend the lithium battery.
