Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the iPhone vibrate during a call, a notification or tactile feedback. This part, compatible with the iPhone 5S, lets you replace the current component when it no longer works properly. The most common faults are a complete absence of vibration, a weak vibration or an abnormal noise during notifications.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an antistatic mat if possible, and keep the small screws in a precise order to make reassembly easier. Avoid excessive heat and never force the connectors.
After fitting, check the vibrator by testing notifications and calls, then make sure the device's other functions remain normal. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not attempt to puncture or bend it.
