Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and haptic feedback. On an iPhone 6S Plus, a fault in this component shows up as no vibration or an abnormal buzzing, without necessarily affecting the rest of the device. This compatible part replaces the faulty vibrator so that normal operation is restored.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, to avoid short circuits or electrostatic discharge. Work on a clean, clear surface with suitable tools and keep the small screws well organised. Never pierce or bend the lithium battery, and do not use the device if the battery is swollen.
Once reassembly is complete, check the vibration on different settings, then test calls and notifications. If the old part showed signs of heat, check for a few minutes of use that nothing is overheating abnormally.
