Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and haptic feedback. On the iPhone 7, it sits in the lower part of the device, close to the battery and the logic board. This compatible part replaces the vibrator of the current part when it no longer triggers, stays stuck or makes an abnormal noise.
Before you start, switch the iPhone off completely and work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible. Always disconnect the battery before touching the flex cables, and avoid heating the device beyond moderate warmth to soften the adhesives. On an iPhone 7, caution is essential, as the connectors are fragile.
Once the vibrator is replaced and the device reassembled, check that vibrations trigger correctly, on calls as well as on notifications. Also check that the screen and buttons respond normally. If the battery is swollen, do not use it and never puncture or bend it.
