Description
The vibrator is a small motor that makes the phone vibrate to signal a call, a notification or haptic feedback. This compatible part for the Mi 9 is used to replace a faulty vibrator. When it no longer vibrates, vibrates weakly or makes an abnormal noise, replacing it restores normal haptic signalling.
Before fitting, switch off the device and disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface, protected from static electricity, and note the position of the screws and connectors. Never puncture the lithium battery, do not bend it, and do not use a swollen battery.
After reassembly, switch the device back on and test the vibrator with several notifications, a call and the keyboard's haptic feedback. Also check that the phone does not overheat abnormally while charging. If in doubt, do not force anything and repeat the checks once the connector is properly seated.
