Description
The vibration motor is the small motor that produces your phone's vibrations: it makes the device vibrate during a call, a notification or an alarm. This compatible part is designed for the OnePlus 7T. When it fails, the phone no longer vibrates, or vibrates weakly or irregularly, while the sound and screen work normally. Replacing the vibration motor restores these haptic responses without changing the whole device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools and a plastic spudger to avoid scratching the chassis. Protect the components from static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the part.
Once the vibration motor is fitted and the connectors are firmly clicked into place, switch the device back on and test several vibration types: call, notification, alarm. Also check that no cables rub against any component. If the battery was disconnected, let the phone charge fully, then go through a few normal charging cycles before judging the result.
