Description
The vibration motor is the small component that makes the phone vibrate during a call, a notification or tactile feedback. On a OnePlus 8T, a fault in this component often results in a silent phone that no longer vibrates while everything else works normally.
This compatible part, made by a third party, lets you replace the faulty vibration motor without changing the entire board or chassis. It is suited to the OnePlus 8T model and is fitted following the same logic as the current part, by disconnecting it and then replacing it carefully.
Before any work, switch off the device and disconnect the battery to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, and keep the small screws in a container. After fitting, check the operation by testing several notifications and an incoming call, then make sure the connectors are properly clicked in place.
