Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and tactile feedback. This compatible part is designed to replace the vibrator of the Huawei P20 (2018) when it no longer works, is too weak or makes abnormal noises. After replacement, the vibration feedback should return to its normal operation.
Before you start, switch off the phone completely and remove the battery if the procedure requires it. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and never bend the connectors. Remember to note the location and orientation of each component.
Once the vibrator is replaced, reassemble the device, switch it back on and test the vibration feedback with several notifications and a test call. Also check that the buttons and screen respond correctly. If the current part showed any swelling or abnormality on the battery, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
