Description
The vibration motor, also known as the haptic motor, is the small component that makes the phone vibrate during a call, a notification or tactile feedback. This part, compatible with the Huawei P40 Lite E (2020), replaces the current one when it no longer vibrates, vibrates weakly or makes an unusual noise.
Before fitting, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean surface and use an anti-static tool to avoid discharging the electronic components. Open the phone carefully, without forcing it, and locate the vibration motor and its connection cable. Disconnect the ribbon cables gently, lifting the connector rather than pulling on the cable.
Once the part is installed and the ribbon cables reconnected, switch the phone back on and test the vibration with several notifications or a call. Check that no cable is pinched and that the screws are properly tightened. If the battery is swollen or damaged, do not use it and do not puncture or bend it.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before any repair
- Use an anti-static tool and work on a clean surface
- Disconnect the ribbon cables by lifting the connector, without pulling on the cable
- Check that the screws are tight and no cable is trapped before closing
- Test the vibration with several notifications after fitting
Fitting
