Description
The vibration motor is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and alerts. On the Huawei P9 (2016), a fault in this component shows up as a complete absence of vibration or as weak and irregular vibrations. This compatible part lets you replace the faulty vibration motor without changing the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with suitable tools so as not to scratch the chassis. Use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch an earthed metal surface to avoid any electrostatic discharge on the circuits.
Once the assembly is finished, check the vibration motor with a test from the phone settings before fully closing the device. Make sure the connectors are properly clipped in and that the ribbon cable is under no tension. If the vibration remains abnormal, check the connection again before concluding that the part is faulty.
