Description
The vibrator is the small motor that produces the phone's vibrations during calls, notifications and haptic feedback. This compatible part is designed to replace the vibrator of the Google Pixel 5 when it no longer vibrates, vibrates weakly or makes an abnormal noise.
The fault is often recognised by the absence of vibration on calls or notifications, while the sound works normally. Before you start, switch the device off completely, place it on a clean surface and have a small suitable screwdriver ready. Work in a well-lit place and avoid electrostatic discharge by regularly touching an earthed metal surface. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables and connectors.
After fitting, check operation by testing calls, alarms and notifications with vibration enabled. Make sure the ribbon cable is properly clipped in and the vibrator is securely fixed to avoid unwanted noises. If the device becomes abnormally hot or the battery appears swollen, stop the procedure immediately.
