Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and haptic feedback on the screen. This part, compatible with the Pixel 6a, lets you replace the current vibrator when it no longer triggers, vibrates only weakly or produces an abnormal noise. It is intended for people who want to repair their device themselves.
Before you begin, switch off the smartphone completely and work on a clean surface, with tools suited to small screws. To avoid electrostatic discharge, touch an earthed metal surface regularly. Disconnect the battery before handling the ribbon cables, and do not bend or puncture the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the device. Avoid any excessive heat source during removal.
Once the vibrator is fitted and the connectors are properly clipped in, switch the phone back on and test notifications, calls and the keyboard's haptic feedback. Check that no ribbon cable rubs against the chassis and that the screws are tight without being forced.
