Description
The vibrator, also called a haptic motor, is a small component that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and certain interactions on the screen. This part, compatible with the Pixel 7, replaces the faulty vibrator in your device. It is mainly used to repair a phone that no longer vibrates, vibrates weakly or irregularly, or whose tactile feedback seems absent.
Before you begin, switch off the smartphone completely and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean surface, with suitable tools and an anti-static wrist strap if you have one, as static electricity can damage components. Be careful with the ribbon cables, which are fragile, and never force the connectors.
After fitting, check the operation by enabling vibrations in the settings, then by testing a call or a notification. If the battery was disconnected, reconnect it carefully and let the phone go through a few complete charge cycles so the system can stabilise. A battery that is swollen or overheating abnormally must no longer be used, and must never be punctured or bent.
