Description
The vibration motor is the small motor that produces your phone's vibrations during calls, notifications and keyboard haptic feedback. This compatible vibration motor is designed to replace the current part in the Pixel 7a when it no longer works properly.
The faults it can fix are mainly no vibration, weak or irregular vibrations, or an abnormal noise during notifications. If your device no longer vibrates while everything else works, this component is often the cause.
Before fitting, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before touching any ribbon cables. Work on a clean surface and use an anti-static wrist strap if possible. Never puncture or bend the battery, and do not use a swollen cell. After reassembly, test the vibrations on several notification types and check that the connectors are seated properly.
Tips
- Switch off and disconnect the battery before any work
- Protect the part from electrostatic discharge
- Do not force the ribbon cables when removing them
- Check vibration on calls and notifications after fitting
- Keep the small screws in a dedicated container
