Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during a call, a notification or tactile feedback. On the Redmi 7, it sits under the motherboard and plugs into the board's flex cable. This compatible part is designed to replace the faulty vibrator without touching the rest of the device.
A vibrator that no longer works is often recognised by a complete absence of vibration, an unusual noise, or weak and irregular vibrations. Before you start, switch the phone off, remove the battery if the model allows it, and use an anti-static wrist strap or regularly touch a metal surface to avoid electrostatic discharge. Never force the connectors and keep the small screws in a tray so they do not get lost.
Once assembly is complete, switch the device back on and test the vibration with a call, an alarm or a vibration setting. If the existing part showed signs of heat or damage to the flex cable, check these areas before closing up. If you handle the battery, do not puncture it, bend it or use a swollen battery.
