Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate during calls, notifications and certain commands. On a Redmi Note 8, it restores these tactile responses when the vibration no longer triggers or only works intermittently. This compatible part is made by a third party and fits in place of the current vibrator, without changing the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if your skill level allows, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to protect components sensitive to static electricity. Note the exact position of the screws and connectors before disconnecting them.
Once the vibrator is fitted, reassemble the phone, reconnect the battery and switch the device on. Test the vibration with a call, a notification or a test setting in the sound settings. If the vibrator seems weak or uneven, check that the ribbon cable is properly clipped in and that the part sits flat against the chassis.
