Description
The vibration motor is the small motor that makes the phone vibrate when you receive a notification, a call or touch feedback. When it no longer works, the phone stays silent in vibration mode, while the sound and the screen may still work normally. This part, compatible with the Risio 4, lets you replace the faulty vibration motor without changing the rest of the device.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect the battery before touching the ribbon cables, to avoid any short circuit. Work on a clean, flat surface with suitable tools, and discharge static electricity by touching a metal surface. Note the exact position of the vibration motor and of the screws to make reassembly easier.
Once the fitting is complete, switch the phone back on and test the vibration with several notifications and a test call. Also check that the other functions work normally. If the battery has been handled, take the time to charge it normally. A swollen or damaged battery must never be used.
