Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes the tablet vibrate during notifications, calls or touch input. This compatible part replaces the vibrator of the Tab (2011) tablet when it no longer works or produces an abnormal noise.
A vibrator fault usually shows up as no vibration feedback, a constant buzzing or vibrations that are too weak. Before you start, switch the tablet off completely, disconnect the worn battery if your model allows it, and work on a clean, flat surface. Discharge static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface.
After fitting, check that the vibrator works correctly by turning vibrations on in the settings, then make sure it does not rub against other components. Be careful with the lithium battery: do not puncture it, do not bend it and never use a swollen battery.
Tips
- Switch off the tablet and disconnect the battery before any work.
- Work without forcing anything and avoid excessive heat during fitting.
- Check that the vibrator does not touch other components once in place.
- Test the vibrations in the settings before closing the tablet again.
