Description
The vibration motor is the small motor that makes your device vibrate for notifications, calls or touch input. On the V10 model, it is what provides the haptic feedback. When it fails, the device may stop vibrating altogether, or produce a continuous or irregular buzzing. This compatible part replaces the current vibration motor so that normal operation is restored.
Before you start, switch the device off completely and, if the battery is accessible, disconnect it before touching any connectors. Work on a clean surface with suitable tools, and avoid static electricity by earthing yourself or regularly touching a metal object. Do not drill, bend or force the lithium battery. If it is swollen, stop using the device.
After fitting, switch the device back on and test the vibration during a call, a notification and keyboard typing. Also check that no component heats up abnormally. For a battery, carry out a few full charge cycles to stabilise its operation.
