Description
The vibrator is the small motor that makes your phone vibrate during a call, a notification or an alarm. This compatible part is designed to replace the faulty vibrator of an LG V40 ThinQ. It restores the vibration function when it no longer triggers or weakens, without the device being at fault otherwise.
Before fitting, switch the smartphone off completely and disconnect the battery if your disassembly requires it. Work on a clean, flat surface, with an anti-static mat if possible, to avoid damaging the components. Use suitable tools and note the position of screws and connectors. Ribbon cables are fragile: disconnect them carefully, without forcing.
Once the part is installed, reassemble the device and test the vibration with several notifications and a call. If the battery was disconnected, let the phone charge normally. A swollen battery must never be used: do not puncture it and do not bend it.
Tips
- Switch off the phone and disconnect the battery before working
- Avoid static electricity: use an anti-static wrist strap or mat
- Handle ribbon cables gently and without forcing the connectors
- Test the vibration with a call and several notifications after fitting
- Never puncture or bend a lithium battery; do not use a swollen battery
