Description
The rear glass is the glass panel on the back of the phone. It protects the internal components and lets the camera, the flash and sometimes the logo show through. When it is cracked, shattered or deeply scratched, it is worth replacing it to restore a clean case that is dust-proof.
This compatible part is designed for the G5 model. It replaces the current part without changing the rest of the device. Before you start, switch off the phone, place it on a flat, clean surface and prepare a plastic opening tool, a hair dryer on moderate heat and a suitable adhesive. Avoid static electricity by touching an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
The battery is lithium: do not puncture it, do not bend it and disconnect it before working on the ribbon cables. If the battery is swollen, stop using the phone. After reassembly, check the alignment, the adhesion of the glass and the correct operation of the camera and flash before fully closing the device.
