Description
This compatible rear glass replaces the glass panel on the back of your iPad 5 (2017). It protects the internal components, completes the finish of the casing and keeps the tablet looking its best after a fall or knock. If the current part is cracked, shattered or heavily scratched, this replacement gives you back a clean, solid back cover.
Before you begin, switch the device off completely and disconnect the battery. Work on a flat, clean surface with tools suited to small screws and a tray to keep them in. Gently warm the edges of the glass with a heat gun at a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, and never exceed lukewarm. Keep sharp objects away from the battery, do not bend it and do not puncture it. If it is swollen, stop using it.
Once fitting is complete, check the alignment, the absence of play and that the buttons and connectors work properly. Then charge the tablet through full cycles to let everything settle. To avoid static electricity, touch an earthed metal surface before handling the components.
