Description
The rear glass is the glass panel on the back of your iPhone 16 Pro Max. It protects the casing and the components behind it, and it contributes to the overall look of the phone. This compatible part is made by a third party and lets you replace a damaged rear glass at low cost.
The rear glass should be replaced when it is cracked, shattered or deeply scratched. Even a small crack can let dust and moisture in and weaken the casing. Before you begin, switch the device off, work on a clean surface and make sure you have good lighting. Gently warm the edge of the glass with a heat gun at a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, and never exceed a gentle heat.
During disassembly, watch out for static electricity and disconnect the battery before working on any flex cables. Do not puncture or bend the lithium battery. If the used battery is swollen, stop using the phone and do not charge it. After reassembly, check that the glass is firmly bonded and that the buttons and charging work correctly.
