Description
This compatible rear glass replaces the glass back panel of the Mi 8 Lite. It protects the phone's internal structure and serves as a visual support for the device. If the current part is cracked, scratched or shattered, replacing it restores a smooth surface and reduces the risk of injury when handling the phone.
Before you start, switch the phone off completely and disconnect it from any power source. Work on a clean, flat surface, with a suitable desoldering tool and suction cups to lift the glass. Gently warm the edges with a heat gun on moderate heat to soften the adhesive, and never exceed a reasonable temperature. Do not drill, bend or apply excessive pressure to the lithium battery located under the rear panel. If the battery is swollen, stop using it and do not charge it.
After assembly, check that the glass is well bonded and that nothing protrudes. Test that the phone powers on, then carry out a few full charge cycles to make sure the whole unit works properly. Avoid static electricity by working on an anti-static mat and discharging yourself regularly.
