Description
The rear glass is the glass panel that protects the back of the phone and lets you see the electronics underneath. This part, compatible with the Mi 9, replaces the current glass when it is cracked, scratched or broken. It restores a smooth surface and proper protection for the internal components.
Before you begin, switch off the phone and disconnect the battery if the procedure requires it. Gently heat the edges with a hair dryer on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, then lift the glass off using a suction cup and a flat tool. Work on a clean surface, away from static electricity, and without forcing anything.
After fitting, check that the glass is firmly bonded, with no bubbles or misalignment, and that the side buttons and camera work. Then charge the device and run a few full charge cycles to check that it operates correctly. Never try to puncture or bend the lithium battery, and never use a device whose battery is swollen.
