Description
The rear glass is the glass panel that protects the back of the smartphone and lets light through to certain internal components. It is often the first part damaged after a fall, as cracked glass can cut your hand or let in dust and moisture. Before you start, switch off the device and disconnect the battery if your model allows it. Gently heat the edges with a hair dryer on a moderate setting to soften the adhesive, then carefully remove the glass without forcing it. Work on a clean surface and protect yourself from static electricity by avoiding synthetic rugs.
After fitting, check the alignment, that there is no play, and that the adhesive holds well. Switch on the phone to test the buttons and the nearby sensors. If the glass is cracked or a component seems damaged, stop the procedure.

- Never puncture or bend the lithium battery
